Papa Panov - A Christmas Musical We are thrilled and excited to announce that the first professionally-produced TV-movie version of Papa Panov - A Christmas Musical has been completed and is being premiered THIS WEEK!! The play has been produced by Hope Channel, a ministry of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, featuring the Olney Adventist Children's Choir under the direction of Dr Edith Gates. The musical can be viewed in multiple formats - including live online streaming, via iOs or Android smartphone/tablet app, Roku and DirectTV cable. This production is not an exclusive or "definitive" version of the musical and has been produced independently of the composer (though with his permission and blessing, of course). The choir are amateurs, and this is a not-for-profit production and so you are invited to watch with that in mind. Making a movie is quite different than staging a theatrical play, of course, requiring quite a different approach. There are several significant changes and omissions to the script, music and staging (compared to the original theatrical script available for purchase on this website). Many of these changes were made for creative and/or timing reasons. What you will see is not the full stage show, but a lovely and creative interpretation of it. If you like what you see, we hope that you will consider doing the play next year at your church or school.
